Here is a selection of my paintings and photography. Currently I'm mainly working with digital photography - my approach to it comes from painting.
Through using movement, camera shake and long exposures I try to capture an essence of something. It could be a moment or a place, which then by its nature allows for a certain freedom of thought/interpretation as they can be suggestive. Other images, those in focus, are just about the colour, form and composition with the light that is given to them.
I graduated from Chelsea College of Art in 1998 and now live and work in Brighton. In the last few years I've been exhibiting as part of the Artists Open Houses during the May festival. Previously with Mike Edwards and Carrie Rose, and this year with Mia Underwood at her 'Into The Woods' Open House on the Fiveways Trail - we were shortlisted for the Best Open House Award.
